How To Use Rufus For Troubleshooting Purpose?



Rufus is a small but a powerful software which used as a bootable USB drive. This is a software which will be used as a tool to install operating systems when there is no CD is available for the user.
This write-up will help you to find on how to do the task of troubleshooting with the rufus software. Let us see the steps on that.

How To Troubleshoot With Rufus?

  • As the first step check on the box which is next to the “List USB Hard Drives”. This step is useful when you cannot make the rufus software to detect and capture your USB device. Because some devices are there which are not compatible with the rufus software.
  • Click the arrow which is next to the “Format Options”. This will make you directed to the panel of advance options of the rufus software.
  • If you have a message saying that your device does not contain any media file inside, then try on changing
  • USB drive of yours. If you get this type of an error it says that you cannot use this memory device hereafter because it has lost its ability of rewriting data.
  • Try the option of re-enabling automounting in your computer, in case you receive a message saying that your device isn’t ready for use. This type of error may appear if you have disabled the automounting option earlier.
  • So you just type on “cmd” in the start tab of your computer.
  • After you have the cmd.exe, right-click on it. And select “Run as administrator”
  • Now Type on “mountvol /e” in dialog box snd then go on with pressing enter.
  • Close the window of command prompt and now you can try on using the rufus again. And observer whether it works or not. click here
